My name is Colin Johnson and I live in San Francisco, California.
My Buddhist name is Tashi Lundhup.
It was given to me during a villagers cleansing ceremony high in the mountains of Ladakh, India at the end of 2022 by a Lama of the Gelug or "Yellow Hat" school of Tibetan Buddhism.
This is the school that the Dalai Lama is the foremost spiritual leader.

I travel the world in pursuit of the elusive light of love.
Sometimes I’m lucky to find myself immersed in a culture and place so deeply spiritual that it vibrates. Witnessing how faith is manifest in different places keeps me going back.

I’m a designer by trade and a photographer by calling and cut my teeth as a street photographer on the streets of San Francisco.
Living in the Mission District of San Francisco I’m surrounded by different cultures and you will usually find me photographing events on the street.

I’ve created Seeking Satori as a vehicle to document my own journey but also a means to showcase my work and strategies for these photographic expeditions.
